Use of Venus® Supra

1. Finish and shape the composite restoration, e.g. using diamond burs.

2. Venus Supra diamond polishers can be used in all commercially available hand pieces and contra-angles.

3. Place the diamond polishers in the hand piece or contra-angle carefully and without using force.

4. Mount the polishers axially as deeply as possible.

5. Bring the instruments up to their running speed before being used on the restoration.

6. The maximum rotational speed is 10,000 rpm and should never be exceeded. To obtain the best results use a rotational speed of around 7.500 rpm.

7. A water spray is necessary to dissipate the heat (minimum flow of water 50 ml/min). Work with a low contact pressure to avoid higher temperatures.

8. Recommended times: 20 s pre-polishing + 40 s high gloss polishing
